Railroad transportation

 

Delivery of goods by rail has been widely practiced by our company since 2000. The main advantages of shipping goods by rail:

• Efficiency. In spite of the rising prices and the financial crisis 2008-2009, rail services increase in price not so fast as other ways of transporting goods. It is still one of the cheapest methods of delivery;

• Accurate delivery time.Violations of  the delivery time is impossible, because railways almost doesn't depend on weather conditions or on another objective factors. You can avoid the loss of your time;

• Delivery to any destination. Railroad transportation is optimal, when the destination point is out-of-reach by aircrafts or ships. For example: the cargo arrives from China to Moscow on the board of an aircraft or ship , and then the cargo reaches the destination point- one of the cities of the Central region of Russia- by train;

• Optimality for deliveries to Russia. In spite of the fact that Russia is the biggest country with thousands of cities, which are out of reach of air and sea transport fields, the network of railways covers all the regions. The railroads is the multimodal kind of transportations ( the cargo is delivered to the nearest available port by air or sea transport, and then it is delivered to the Client by railroad;

• Benefits for non-urgent and non-perishable goods. If the goods are not urgent and perishable, we advice not to use avia transportation (it is the most expensive kind of transport), but use time-tested railways transportation;

• Groupage cargo. It is widely practised to use the groupage cargo in railways transportation of goods. Groupage  cargo is relatively small quantities of goods for which it is inexpedient to order the whole container, but it is still necessary to deliver these goods. We fill the whole container with goods of several Clients therefore, and then deliver them to destination points;

• Accuracy of calculating the cost of delivery. All routing schemes, offered to our Clients, are calculated on basis of the railways tariffs, so the final cost of transportation is easy to calculate in advance. It is easy to make an economic forecast if the transportation will be profitable or unprofitable for our Client.
